DeAnna Monahan

As an Introduction, I am the Director of Coaching for J.V. Michael and Associates, a sports and event management company. I teach private skating lessons, mentor the coaching staff, promote and develop the roller skating rink programs in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

I worked with the Olympic Training Center on behalf of athletes and assisted with the publication of the National Governing Body of Roller Skating Sports Psychology Manual submitted to the U.S. Olympic Committee. After retiring from competitive sports I have remained physically active by teaching artistic figure skating and doing Jazzercise (while at the same time having 5 children).

I have been a highly competitive athlete since the age of six and began skating at age two. Roller skating is a very physically demanding sport, and to compliment my skating I cross-trained in ballroom dance, aerobics, ballet, and ice skating to prepare for World International competitions.
